there is this state between consciousness and sleep where i find amazing things.
i find words.
music.
colors.
plots.
designs.
it’s like a heightened state of creativity, but my mind is at rest.
i’ve come up with innumerable melodies…. lyrics to songs….

now we all know that designers collaborating with lower-end retail chains is nothing new. target, h&m, topshop… etc etc. sometimes the results are fantastic, intriguing and enlightening… (comme des garcons for h&m, above), sometimes mediocre (alexander wang for uniqlo) and sometimes disastrous ( enter Payless Shoe Source and Patricia Field/Abaete/Lela Rose/Alice + Olivia).
